The ideal bread pudding - fluffy, with really visible bread chunks, and a smattering of crunchy bread pieces on top.
- 4 slices white bread (crust removed)
- 3 eggs
- 2 ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoon vanilla flavor
Preheat oven at 350°F.
In a medium bowl, beat eggs lightly. Add milk, brown sugar and vanilla flavor. Crumble bread in mixture. Pour into 1 quart baking dish. Brush with butter and bake 40 minutes until firm and brown at 350°F.
